restructuring your small business

For the first year of successfully running a business, most business owners are focused on survival.

Prioritizing the growth of your business via expansion is one of the best ways to increase the chances that your company will not only last but also contribute to your economic well-being and a stable financial future.

One way to successfully expand your small business to a big one

Recapturing Your Existing Customer: As one of the major ways to business expansion. It is important to note that getting new customers is not the only way to grow your business. Most times, the customers you already have are your best bet for increasing your sales, and studies have found that improving customer retention also improves the value of a business/company. Customers who have already purchased from you once are more likely to do so again, especially if they have a positive customer service experience. All you need to do is capture the contact information and shopping preferences of one-time customers. Then, use that information to set up marketing systems that we previously discussed in the past. This will convert them into repeat customers. Today, ask yourself if you are getting it right with customer retention, if not work out ways to do this. We are happy to support you with this.

Creating Your Unique sellin proposition- part 2

Still on creating the unique selling proposition for your business, the next step focuses on identifying what it is about your solution to your customer’s problem that is different, or better than, the solution your competitor offers. The value you identify here will be one of the primary reasons why your customers will choose you instead of a competitor.

The potential differentiators of our moving supply company may be that they offer tasty cakes, less expensive confectionaries, same-day delivery, or exceptional customer service.

Identifying and sticking to the differentiator between your business and that of the competition will always make it easy to sell to your customers.

Creating your Unique selling proposition

So, today we shall be discussing the last step of creating your Unique Selling Proposition. This last step combines the most important elements of the previous steps into a concise statement that embodies the value your company has to offer. Keep in mind that your USP essentially implies a promise or a pledge you are making to your customers.

The cake and confectionary organization, which we have been using as an example, may create a USP that says simply, “tasty to the last bite,” aimed toward their overwhelmed customers who are getting ready to celebrate a birthday party or a wedding ceremony that is fixed for multitude.

Once you have a working USP, it’s always a good idea to sleep on it, run it by others in your company, or even create a focus group or a test run with a few customers to measure the impact it has. It may take several tries, but once you hit the perfect USP, it can be an integral element of your marketing toolbox.

Sales funnel stage : Descision stage

we shall have a recap on the last stage of the sales funnel to increase sales for our respective businesses. This is to better aid our learning process and acquire more knowledge. The third stage to look out for ; The Decision stage. At this point, the prospect knows they’re likely going to make a purchase, but they’re probably still debating from who. If they’re still in contact with your business, then you’re a possible contender.

One of the ways to ensure they are in contact with your business is through emails , WhatsApp messages to check up etc.

You’ll want to make a great offer during this stage in order to seal the deal. Whether it’s a discount, an add-on, or a free trial or shipping, you’ll have to show how you’re different from your competition and win them over.

How to start a side hustle.

From the profile of many of our members, we realized that a lot of us still have our regular 9-5 job and are looking for ways to venture into our business. As our first post for the year, we thought to address the concerns of this class of people, before we roll out our business growth techniques for the year.

If you’ve ever thought about starting a side hustle, you’re probably motivated by one of three reasons:

It’s a hobby, and you’re feeding your interest during your free time.

You’re supplementing your primary income. Maybe you have financial goals you want to reach, and having an extra income source will help get you there quicker.

You plan to transition into entrepreneurship full time, so you’re testing the waters with a side hustle before taking the big leap and quitting your full-time job.

Regardless of your motivations, you’re about to start a business. And the moment you expect people to start paying you money in exchange for value that you provide, you can no longer treat it as a passive endeavor. But when you have a full-time job—in addition to a life that you’d really like to enjoy—that’s easier said than done.

There’s a reason it’s called a side hustle: you need to work hard to make it a success. Follow the tips listed in this post to get you started.

  1. Tell your employer.
  2. Establish a routine and set goals.
  3. Create boundaries
  4. Set up processes and automate
  5. Ask for feedback
  6. Think long term
  7. Rest

Social media marketing is an ideal way to promote your business. It’s free, it’s easy, and often, it’s fun.

The problem with social media is that it’s also overwhelming and unwieldy, and can be difficult to track the results. To get started with this let’s have a recap of some basics that will enable us to achieve the expected results after this series.

Steps to pre-plan your social media strategy

  1. Upload an appropriate picture.
  2. Complete the major profile sections.
  3. Follow influencers in your industry.
  4. Integrate social media tools on your website and blog.
  5. Decide what results you want from social media.

In sharing your content, the major challenge with social media is maximizing your exposure. This is hard because each platform is different. Some limit the number of characters (Twitter) and others involves primarily graphics (Pinterest or Instagram). In this post and subsequently, we will discuss easy steps to planning your sharing strategy. The first being:

1) Decide what you’re sharing.

Are you sharing a blog post, email sign up list, giveaway, inspiration, etc. In your planning, you should have a variety of things to share. For example, you can share new blog posts, reshare old posts, promote your newsletter, and cross-promote across social media (i.e. share Twitter feed on Facebook).

Sales funnel stages

Following through on our sales funnel highlights and it’s importance in our business , we will take a look at the second stage – The Interest stage.

Here, the prospect has expressed some level of consideration toward your offer. They’ll perform some research and maybe investigate other opportunities too. They recognize that they have a need, but they don’t want to act too quickly. In order to keep their interest and guide them further down the sales funnel, offer them resources and valuable content that will appeal to them.

Avoid trying to sell too early or you’ll scare them off by being too forward. Instead, focus on establishing yourself as an expert that’s looking out for their best interest rather than just trying to make a sale. This way you are able to build TRUST- a key necessity in sales.
